Unilever helping digital start ups

Unilever have announced this week  they are working with a number of digital start-up businesses in an attempt to get them to ‘Go Global’.

Seven selected companies will be given  $100,000 for their digital venture that will then be used by Unilever in their marketing campaigns. A great way for a business start-up to gain recognition through a global brand as well as Unilever benefitting from new technology and innovative ideas.

Many other brands such as BMW, Heinz and Panasonic have in previous years and also earlier this year have run similar competitions such as “The Bakery”, which was a scheme to fund new marketing technology start-ups.

The winners of the ‘Go Global’  competition will be able to gain access to market research which is provided by Unilever and have the chance to by mentored by their Vice President of media, Innovation Director and Global Marketing and Ventures Director.

Results of the winners of the competition will be announced on 1st March 2014….so watch this space for more news and updates.
